Pediatric Grand Rounds

Pediatric Morbidity and Mortality Conference

Pediatric Grand Rounds for the Department of Pediatrics, SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and the Children’s Hospital at Downstate are now being held on Friday mornings, October through June, from 8:00 am until 9:00 am, in the Alumni Auditorium, located in the Education Building, 395 Lenox Road. The last Friday of the month is generally reserved for Morbidity and Mortality Conference. To reach the Alumni Auditorium, it is easiest to enter the Education Building on Lenox Road, turn right just after the guard’s station and proceed past the Library entrance to the Auditorium.  Coffee is provided at the Auditorium entrance.

Each Grand Rounds or Morbidity/Mortality conference is approved for 1 hour of Category 1 CME credit, certified by SUNY Downstate. At the end of each academic year, the attendance is tallied and transmitted to the Downstate CME office. In order to receive a CME certificate for the prior academic year, you must contact the Downstate CME office to request the certificate. This should be done in the September following the academic year for which CME credits are requested. The CME office charges a $25 fee for the certification.
